My Time Working in Construction

My time in construction management at the Davis Catalyst Center has been incredibly rewarding, especially as our efforts directly contribute to The Other Side Village in Salt Lake City, where we build Tiny Houses for the homeless. The joy of learning so much while making a difference in the world is an amazing thing to experience.

Working alongside my buddy Mark has been a highlight of this experience. We have a great dynamic, often engaging in friendly smack talk towards each other about our occasional mishaps. Our playful banter keeps the atmosphere light and enjoyable, and despite the verbal attacks, we make a fantastic team. Our ability to laugh at ourselves and each other only strengthens our collaboration and the quality of our work.

Jeremiah Allen, our fantastic teacher, has played a significant role in our development. His hands-on teaching approach has been invaluable, providing us with practical knowledge and real-world skills. Jeremiah's ability to guide us through complex tasks while encouraging us to learn by doing has made a lasting impact on my construction management journey.

Additionally, I enjoy teaching and showing new students the ropes. It's incredibly satisfying to see them develop their skills and grow more confident in their abilities. Sharing my knowledge in for construction with them has been a rewarding experience, and it has been to watch them pursue their own construction careers.

In summary, my time at the Davis Catalyst Center has been filled with learning, collaboration, and the joy of building Tiny Houses for those in need. It's a journey that has honed my skills, grown my passion for construction, and allowed me to contribute to a meaningful cause while having fun with great people.
