My Time as a Intern at Wadman
My internship at Wadman was a valuable learning experience that gave me insight into the world of
commercial construction. During my time there, I observed and helped where I could, primarily focusing
on cleaning and water removal. Since the majority of my internship took place during the winter, the
absence of a roof often left the floor wet and flooded. I made myself useful by pushing the water out
and cleaning up trash to facilitate the contractors' work.
I worked closely with one Wadman employee, following them around and assisting as much as possible.
While a significant portion of my work involved cleaning, I also had the opportunity to do some
construction work, such as cutting wood for an entryway on the roof.
I'm glad I did this internship, as it allowed me to learn a lot and gain hands-on experience in
commercial construction. It was a rewarding experience that contributed to my understanding of the
industry and reinforced my commitment to pursuing a career in construction.
